She is always one of my favorite female comedian. It is rare to see the combination of a very wild on stage version vs a typical domestic Chinese-Vietnamese in real life. I remembered sitting with Dr. Lai at Layla – D1 when he broke the news on Ali Wong’s divorce. For someone has been watching her from the very early stage, this news was such a rumor.

02 years laters, she came back “physically” & “mentally”. It is weird to say, but I am glad this woman did not turning tone down on her Netflix 4th special (even though now she becomes a divorced-mom of two). Like a movie, it is always interesting to look at human life as an on-going project. You saw them laughing in happiness, crying in tears, transforming phrase, no matter how many bumps that you met on the road. Every stage of life, you took several events differently. For instance, once you hit 30s, you reckon lots of shit that you heard about single hood over the year is no longer true – “I’ve never been pursued this much in my life”, she said.

These days, it is such a thin line between honesty among people vs being rude or “how cheap and lazy men have become, that now when a fellow man commits any act of kindness, any romantic gesture, it must be a symptom of an undiagnosed mental illness.”

I guess, as you are getting older. You don’t run from failures in life. You faced it, willing to admit the heart broken moments. Surprisingly enough, these moments did not happened once but several times in life. And as an adult, you are brave enough to swallow this bitter pill. The most important is bouncing back right where you fell – “allowing yourself to fall in love again”, she admitted

As raising up, I don’t normally read an happy ending as it used to be. “Before exiting the stage together, Hader reportedly told the crowd, “All I have to say is, Ali Wong is off the market.”, but this statement does putting the smile on my faces.

Be suffer to be happy, life is short that way 🙂
