It’s a great feeling to meet up with your old friend. Someone who knows most of your secrets and then as great company as he / she always be, you two could pick up the conversation whenever you have left for long time.
[8.5] years ago, we first met up on the second last carriage, South Yarra line at 06:42AM everyday. This may make me sound cliché, but as a 30s woman, I found the beauty of routine. Since that 2015, I have grown up a lot (or at least I think so) 😉
Last [10] years, I have seen handful number of ‘filthy rich’ individuals with power / social status (yes, filthy rich!) And yet, I am glad that all ‘these facts’ are only revealed after years we spending time to know each other’s personalities. You know me, when I was an aboard student. You know me as an open minded traditional Vietnamese girl who wanted to blend in the western world but tried hard not to losing the core that I have been grown up with. And yet you know me now as a cranky 30s woman that is so annoying till the point every year u can’t stop yourself from saying
– just getting fking married Shana 🤣
– where is your beef cake? Just pick one 🤣
Times flies, people certainly change (one way or the other). I would lie if I said no surprise the way you change rite now when we had the conversation today. I may forget the way I was in Melbourne but I would never be the one I am today without you nagging along the side all those years.
And for the first time since that winter July 2016, I have courage to say I am glad you are still here… alive and healthy.
Do not die to early, really!
