Let’s be honest, I feel ugly and lost confidence a lot with short hair. Not mention, it is not easy to keep it for long period of time in Vietnam (2 years in my case). This means for the last 07 years, I have been fighting with my own every single day whether I should keep joining BCNVN For the first few years, I did not post any certificate until lately. All channel of social media “taught” how to volunteer “rightly” – being quiet/ keeping low profile. Have you ever wonder what may right in similar case? I do not know too, but whatever way we chose, we could not hide the fact you could only donate ONCE every 2-3 years. On the other hand, cancers become one of the most popular sickness in Vietnam for ages, due to the environment, etc. (So why hide, really?).
All of sudden, all the shame of short hair , all the lousy title – “good deed needs to be quiet” that I got vanished. There is only email from BCNVN confirmed another 50 patients got more confident today with new hair after the treatment today. I guess, after all it matters. When you are old enough, you decide on your own with right/ wrong.
